MEETING MINUTES

1. Welcome & Quick Introductions
2. Overview and Current Updates
a. Budget/fund balance
• 2024 fund balance (including 2024 awards not yet reimbursed): $887,000
• 2025 forecast: $400,000
• 2025 grant pool (conservative estimate): $700,000
b. 2025 Timeline
• August 16 – Applications available (tentative)
• October
• September 12 – LTAC Q&A at Dock & Drink (4 to 6pm)
• October 10 – LTAC Q&A virtual (4 to 6pm)
• October 16 – LTAC application assistance (12pm to 2pm) Renton Library
• October 18 – LTAC applications due
• October 29 – LTAC review of applications (8:30am to 10am)
• November 18 hold for interviews 9am to 1pm
• November 19 – submit agenda bill with award recommendations
• November 24 (or Dec 2) – Council referral to COW
• December 9 – COW review and Council approval (last Council meeting of
2024)

3. 2025 LTAC Strategic Goals Discussion
• Incentives for Q&A Sessions:
• Consider adding incentives to encourage attendance.
• Provide a list of benefits for attending.
• Engagement with Hoteliers and Venue Operators:
• Invite hoteliers and other venue operators to join the sessions.
• Facilitate connections and conversations to streamline event
planning.
• Sponsorship Amount:
• Determine a set sponsorship amount for this year.
• Scoring Rubric:
• Share the scoring rubric with the public to make the application
process more transparent.
• Event Planner Outreach:
• Request lists of previous event planners/organizers.
• Encourage them to return to Renton for future events.
• LTAC Budget Allocation:
• Prioritize awards for applications with a significant portion of the
budget directed toward regenerating the LTAC fund.
