The Governor’s order, implementing temporary changes to the Open Public Meetings Act, was extended by the legislature and
remains in effect until the COVID-19 state of emergency is lifted, or until rescinded by gubernatorial or legislative action. While
these changes are in effect, the Renton Lodging Tax Advisory Committee meetings will be held remotely.

Discussion:
• Funds to incentivize NEW groups to hold their event in Renton – room night rebate(?) -
$100,000 – discretionary funds for hotels (ex. Atlanta, Denver)
Parameters
• Director of Sales meeting – to discuss the LTAC process – once a year to meet
o August
• July Q&A for applicants – in-person
o LTAC info video
o Lists from hotels of event/conference contacts
• Need process for off-cycle requests
