FINISHING.

STREETS WHICH HAVE RIGID TYPE PAVEMENTS W-SURFACED WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE SHALL BE PATCHED AS SHOWN
ON THE STANDARD DRAWING, OR AS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, THE S-RFACE OF THE CEMENT CONCRETE PORTION OF
THE PATCH SIALL BE LEFT LOW ENOUGH To ACCOMMODATE THE ASPHALT PORTION OF THE PATCH. BRUSH
FINISHING WILL NOT BE REQUIRED. JOINTS SHALL BE PLACED IF DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER. CURING SHALL
BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH A SS-1 E)&LSION CUT BACK WITH WATER AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER -
ASPHALT CONCRETE OR BITUMINOUS PLANT MIX SiHALL NOT BE PLACED UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THE C04ENT
CONCRETE HAS BEEN PLACED, UNLESS OTHERWISE PERMITTED By THE ENGINEER' THE EDGES OF THE EXISTING
Ag-HA-T PAVEMENTS AND CASTINGS SHALL BE PAINTED WITH HOT ASPHALT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE PLACING THE
ASPHALT PATCHING MATERIAL. THE ASPH�LT CONCRETE PAVEMENT SHALL THEN BE PLACED, LEVELED, AND
COWACTED TO CONFORM TO THE ADJACENT PAVED SURFACE- IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER, ALL JOINTS BETWEEN THE
NEW AND ORIGINAL ASPHALT PAVEMENT SHALL BE PAINTED WITH HOT ASPHALT OR A-5-rtALT EMULSION AND BE
COVERED WITH ORY PAVING SAND BEFORE THE ASPHALT SOLIDIFIES.
7-18.3(4) ASPHALT CONCRETE STREETS ON UWA-'LAR BASE

THE EXISTING OIL KIT SHALL BE UNIFORMLY TRIMMED TO A STRAIGHT LINE. AFTER THE SUBGRADE HAS BEEN
PREPARED AS 94DWN ON THE STANDARD DRAWING, OR AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER, A MINI" OF TWO (2)
INCHES OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT CLASS B SHALL BE PLACED AND COMPLETED IN THE SAME KANNER AS
SPECIFIED IN SECTION 7-18.3(3).
7-18.3(6) INCIDENTAL WORK

7-18.4 MEASUREMENT
PAYMENT FOR PAVEMENT PATCHING WILL ONLY BE MADE FOR MATERIALS I WITHIN THE NEAT LINES 1 (ONE)
FOOT ON EITHFR SIDE OF THE MAXIMUM TRENCH WIDTH AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 2-09.4.
