FIELD WIRING TERMINAL
THERE SHALL BE A TERMINAL STRIP FOR FIELD WIRING IN THE CONTROLLER CABINET. THE TEM41NALS SHALL BE
NUMBERED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCHEMATIC WIRING DIAGRAM ON THE PLANS. IF A DIFFERENT NUMBERING
SYSTEM IS USED FOR THE CABINET WIRING , THEN BOTH NUMBERS SHALL LABEL EACH TERMINAL AND THE CABINET
WIRING SCHEMATIC DRAWINGS S�iALL INCLUDE THE FIELD WIRING NUMBERS WHERE THE TERMINfU- STRIP IS
ILLUSTRATED. A COMMON BUS BAR tlITH A MINIMUM OF 15 TEF04INALS AND A GROUND BAR WITH A MINIMUM OF 6
TERMINALS SHALL BE PROVIDED.

INTERFACE COMMUNICATION DEVICES SHALL BE DESIGNED AS SEPARATE UNITS OR AS MODULES THAT PLUG
DIRECTLY INTO THE CONTROLLER CASE., THE COMMUNICATION DEVICES SHALL BE USED FOR ON-LINE COMPUTER

9-29.13(7)0 C0NT`R0.LER CABINETS (REPLACEMENT SECTION)
EACH TRAFFIC CONTROLLER CABINET SHALL PROVIDE A WEATHERPHOOF HOUSING AND KAVE THE FOLLOWING
REP "REMENTS:
1. CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE OF SHEET STEEL.
2. THE CABINET SHALL CONTAIN SHELVING, BRACKETS, RACKS, ETC. TO, SUPPORT THE CONTROLLER AND ALL
AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT.
3. THE CABINET SHALL BE OF ADEQUATE SIZE TO PROPERLY MUSE THE COPMtOl-LER AND ALL AUXILIARY
EQUIPMENT 44D ANY REQUIRED APPURTENANCES.
A. THE CABINET SHALL HAVE A FILTERED AIR INTAKE AND A VENT FAN. THE AIR INTAKE FILTER SHALL
BE CAPABLE OF IMPEDING FOREIGN BODIES, SUCH AS DUST, LINT, ETC. THE VENT FAN SHALL BE IN
THE TOP OF THE CABINET AND THERMOSTAT.'CALLY CONTROLLED.
5. THE CABINET DOOR SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH THE FOLLOWING:
a. THE MAIN DOOR OF THE CABINET SHALL INCLUDE A TWO POSITION BAR STOP AND SHALL BE SECURED
WITH A CORBIN TYPE 2 LOCK. THE MAIN DOOR SHALL ALSO CONTAIN A POLICE DOOR WITH A
CONVE111T.IONAL POLICE LOCK. INSIDE THE POLICE PANEL THERE SHALL BE A SIGNAL ON -OFF SWITCH
WHICH SHALL PROHIBIT ANY SIGNAL DISPLAi IN THE FIELD BUT WILL ALLOW THE CONTROL EQUIPMENT
TO OPERATE WHEN PLACED IN THE -OFF- POSITION. A SECOND SWITCH SHALL BE THE AUTG-FLASH
SWITCH. WHEN PLACED IN THE -FLASH- �-OSITION, CONTROLLER POWER SHALL PO4AIN ON AND
CONTROLLER SHALL STOP TIME DEPENDENT ON SWITCH SETTING ON THE AUXILIARY PANEL DESCRIBED
LATER.
b. THE CABINET SHALL HAVE A METAL ETCH PRIMER COAT UNDER THE FINISH COAT. THE FINISH PAINT
COAT SHALL BE A DURABLE ALUMINUM OR HP14MERTONE GRAY, OR SIMILAR IN COLOR, CAPABLE OF
PREVENTING RUST FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS.
C. BOTH DOORS (MAIN AND POLICE PANEL) SHALL HAVE ONE-PIECE WEATHER-PROOF NEOPRENE GASKETS.—
