Public Safety CoMMittee
Public Safety Chairman Hughes presented a report recommending amendment
Fire: Permit Fees
of City Ordinance *�4004, Section 7-905.H.6 of City Code rega-ding f�re
permit fees as follows: Sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression, halon or
CO2 systems permit fee shall be based and charged on ten percent (10%) of
plans revie-/inspection fee listed in this section, or a minim f twenty-
five dollars ($25,00). whichever is greater. The Committee fu. tr
recommended referral of this matter to Way3 and Means Committee for
preparation of amending legislation. MOVED BY HUGHES, SECONDED
BY REED, COUNCIL CONCUR IN THE COMMITTEE REPORT.

Police: Handicapped
Public Safety Committee Chairman Hughes presented a report recommending
Parking Ordin&nce
that the. Police Department monitor public parking in handicapped zones, and
after a sufficient period of time, report to Council if changes in the
ordinance or established fines are necessary. MOVED BY HUGHES,
SECONDED BY MATHEWS, COUNCIL CONCUR IN THE COMMITTEE
REPORT. CARRIED.
Finance: Amusement
Public Safety Committee Chairman Hughes presented a report recommending
Device License Fees
that no change in entertainment device fees be made since it appears there is
no compelling justification for a reduction at this time. MOVED BY
HUGHES, SECONDED BY MATHEWS, COUNCIL CONCUR IN THE
COMMIT -TEE REPORT. CARRIED.
Franchise: Miscellaueous
Public Safety Committee Chairman Hughes presented a report recommending
that no action be taken on the matter of franchise agreements (i.e. cable,
Olympic Pipeline, etc.) at this time. MOVED BY HUGHES, SECONDED By

Transportation Comn-ttee Chairman Reed presented a report recommending

Department that Gary Meilino Construction Company, to- bidder on the

Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Alternative, be awarded the contract for
Oakesdale Avenue SW - LID 332 in the amount of S3,058,263.98, The
Committee also recommended that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
execute the documents. MGVED BY REED, SECONDED BY KEOLKER,
COUNCIL CONCUR IN THE COMMIT -TEE REPORT- CARRIED.
