.Renton’s Urban Forestry Program respondedto tree damage alongthe south side of Parcel #2523049004,identified in an easementagreementwithWSDOTandothersasUnitB.In the course of removing damaged limbs from the parking lot at 802 SW 34 Street from awindstorminNovemberof2017,the property manager for the business park contacted us to inspect other trees alongthis edge withtheconcernofpotentialpropertydamagetovehiclesorinjurytopedestriansanddriversfromfallingtreedebris. .We assigned a review ofthe trees alongthe southproperty line to Davey Resource Group,Inc.,a consulting certified arborist companyworkingwiththeCity.Using a visual assessment of tree condition, nine trees were identified as a risk of impacting the parking lot areawithinthenext5years. .The trees are found north of the parking lot identified above and closerto the 1020 SW 34 Street building on the west half of theparcel. All trees are approximately 30 feet or less north ofthe parking lot curbline on a bank above the actual wetlands. The bankconsistsofamixoftallercottonwoodtrees, shorter madrone trees,15-year old planted firs and cedars, and a mix of willow, bigleafmaple, red twig dogwood, snowberry and other trees and shrubs. There is a large amount of new seedling-to-sapling-sized madronereproductionthroughoutthearea. .The trees were identified as to the risk. The nine trees identified have a white paint spot at the base ofthe north side ofthe tree.Foreachtree,we also placed a white paint spot on the curb to assist in locating the trees in the overgrowth. Each tree is accessible, howeverthe terrain is rough and there is much brush.Thesetrees are considered higherriskthan others because oftheir condition andlocationtoimpactingtheparkinglot, under normal weather conditions, over the next 5 years.During stronger weather events, thesecouldlikelybecomecandidatesforfailure. The following identifies the trees beginningwith number 1 at the west end ofthe propertyandproceedingeast. .A photograph for each tree has been taken and identified by number.Maps of tree location is provided. In the notes for each tree slidecanbefoundthereasonforremoval. .Tree removal will take into consideration the habitat value of the trees. All tree debris cut will be retained in the woods including trunksections. In most instances, trees will be reduced in size to provide habitat where possible, and retained as snagtrees. :çr: .-—.—F t\: L .ii rn,:-1 tt rZ ai
