HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE
3:00 PM - Tuesday, September 17,2024

1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular Human Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) meeting for September 17, 2024 was
called to order at 3:06 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL

Marjan Didra
Valentine Portolano
Staff Members Present:
Guy Williams, Human Services Manager
Lori Fleming, Human Services Coordinator
Committee Members Absent:
Joe Scovel, Chair
Adair Hasty, Vice Chair
Gary Barquet
3. AUDIENCE / PUBLIC COMMENT - None
4. CONSENT AGENDA
Member Ali Cohen motioned to approve the Consent Agenda, seconded by Member Marjan Didra. Motion
carried approving this meeting’s agenda and the meeting minutes from the May 21, 2024 HSAC meeting.
5. NEW BUSINESS
a) HSAC reviewed the combined 2025-2026 draft human services funding recommendations from the two
Review Groups and approved the recommendations. These recommendations will move forward for
Mayor/Council approval.
b) Reviewed the upcoming events in Renton, which included last days of the Renton Farmers Market,
Renton Senior 50+ Resource Expo, and Valley Medical Center Community Meetings.
6. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
The next regular Human Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) meeting is scheduled for October 15, 2024
at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom or in person.
