HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM_preliminary construction mitigation summary_180329_v1 9725 3rd Ave NE, Suite 410, Seattle, WA 98115 CONSTRUCTION MITIGATION Project: SEA MILL AVE- Verizon Project Location: 304 MAIN AVE S Parcel: 7231500720 Zoning: CD – CENTER DOWNTOWN Proposal: Verizon is proposing to construct an unmanned telecommunications facility on the facade of an existing commercial building. The existing parking lots will be utilized for construction staging and execution. Construction Dates: Current forecast is for work to occur approximately between 7/17/18-8/14/18. Hours/Days of Operation: The wireless site will be on-air 24/7, once constructed. It is a passive use, and unstaffed except for an occasional technician visit, 1-2x per month on average. Proposed Hauling/Transportation Routes: The construction access will be via the existing driveways leading to the property, from Main Ave S. on the west side of the property and Houser Way S from the north side of the property. Construction debris will be minimal, as the proposed project is the installation of wireless equipment on the façade of an existing commercial building, not building demolition. Off-site warehousing locations for the proposed wireless equipment and shroud materials is TBD, as is the contractor assignment. Measures to Minimize Construction Impacts: The project is of short duration and is not anticipated to generate mud, erosion, or substantial noise that would impact adjacent properties. The construction will be coordinated with the property, based on their current business needs, so that the project does not interfere with their existing tenants’ or lot users’ access and preserves the on-site parking in the lot that will be shared for construction staging. Construction Hours: Construction hours will be negotiated with the property owner. Business hours are preferred, but weekend or evening hours may be requested if the tenant needs at the time of construction place spots at a premium. Hours are expected to be subject to City input regarding noise ordinances and project approval conditions. Weekend and evening construction hours are not expected to impact adjacent property uses. 9725 3rd Ave NE, Suite 410, Seattle, WA 98115 Traffic Control: The location of the construction is not in right-of-way, and is more than 15 feet from the edge of the roadway. Staging and parking for construction machinery and vehicles will be in the parking lot adjacent to the office building, on private property.
