NOTICE OF APPLICATION
A Master Application has been filed and accepted with the Department of Community & Economic Development
(CED) – Planning Division of the City of Renton. The following briefly describes the application and the necessary
Public Approvals.
DATE OF NOTICE OF APPLICATION: June 8, 2017
PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: Grant Place Townhomes / LUA17-000335, FPUD
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting Final Planned Urban Development approval for
the construction of a multi-family development containing 36 zero lot line townhomes. The vacant 2.12 acre site is located
within the Residential Multi-Family (RMF) zoning classification. The development would be comprised of 8 separate multi-
family residential structures. The subject site is located on the east side of Grant Ave S just north of S 18th St at 1600
Grant Ave S. Access to the site is proposed via new loop alley extended from Grant Ave S. There are no critical areas
located on site. Under the approved Preliminary Planned Urban Development (LUA15-000885) the following standards
were permitted to be modified: street standards, setback requirements, impervious surface requirements, building
coverage requirements, and lot standards. The applicant has proposed enhanced open space, pedestrian and vehicular
circulation, pedestrian amenities, and landscaping as a public benefit.
