PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting approval of a Shoreline Exemption for the proposed
replacement of an existing second story deck on a single-family residence. The
applicant proposes to repair the decayed wall framing and guardrail that is located on
the southwest side of the home. The repair work will not increase the building
footprint, square footage or height. This project is considered to be a normal
maintenance and repair of existing development. Work is anticipated to occur in July
or August 2017. A building permit is required for this work and has been submitted
under B17002014.

EXEMPTION JUSTIFICATION: An exemption from a Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit is hereby
Approved on the proposed project in accordance with RMC 4.9.190C 'Exemption from Permit System' and for the following
reasons:

damage by accident, fire or elements:
