Close Subject: LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING GEOLOGIC RISK Fire Station 15 and Kennydale Reservoir Renton, Washington Dear Clark, Schreiber Starling Whitehead Architects and Murraysmith commissioned HWA GeoSciences Incorporated (HWA) to perform a Geotechnical Engineering Report for the Fire Station 15 and Kennydale Reservoir projects, respectively. HWA performed field explorations, laboratory testing, and engineering analysis for both projects. During the investigation, HWA did not find evidence to suggest that the site for the proposed projects is unstable or has any geologic risk. However, it is our understanding that the applicants: Michael Kirk for the Fire Station 15 project and Abdoul Gafour for the Water Reservoir project understand and accept the risk of developing the site if unstable conditions be discovered on the site during development process. Furthermore, the applicants will advise, in writing, any prospective purchasers of the site, or any prospective purchasers of structures or portions of structures on the site, of any unstable potential on the site. Should you have any questions, or require additional information, please contact us at your convenience. Sincerely, Sandy R. Brodahl, P.E. Geotechnical Engineer, Principal HWA GEOSCIENCES INC.
