ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC HEARING
RENTON, WASHINGTON
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination of Non-Significance Mitigated
(DNS-M) for the following project under the authority of the Renton municipal code.
Fire Station 15
LUA17-000632
Location: 1404 N 30th St. The applicant is requesting Administrative Site Plan Review, Hearing Examiner
Conditional Use Permit, State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Review, and a street modification request for the
construction of a new 7,497 sf fire station (Fire Station 15) in the Kennydale Neighborhood. The site is zoned CN
and R-6. The single-story station would be roughly 24 feet in height. Construction is scheduled to begin February
2018 and end December 2018.
Appeals of the DNS-M must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on November 17, 2017. Appeals must be
filed in writing together with the required fee with: Heari ng Examiner c/o City Clerk, City of Renton, 1055 South
Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4-8-110 and more
information may be obtained from the Renton City Clerk's Office, 425-430-6510.
A Public Hearing will be held by the Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on November 21, 2017 at
11:00 am to consider the submitted application. If the DNS-M is appealed, the appeal will be heard as part of this
public hearing. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
