Evan Wehr 203 N 36th St, #201 Seattle, WA 98103 PROJECT LOCATION: 5143 RIPLEY LN N PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting a Shoreline Exemption to replace a deteriorated section ofthe existing floating pier walkway with a grated floating pierwalkway section that is shared between two property owners. The pier is jointly owned by Damon Rolfs and Robin Moore and their neighbor, Richard Vaughn. The properties are single family residential lots with existing single family houses. The properties are located at 5143 and 5137 Ripley Lane North (parcel numbers 3343302860 and 3343302860. The properties are located within the Residential -8 (R-8) zone and situated on the shoreline of Lake Washington. Adjacent properties are also zoned R-8. The existing shoreline consists of a mainly gravel beach. An existing floating pier section extending from the shore that is approximately sixfeetwide andfortyfeet long is deteriorated and needs to be replaced. The newfloating pier section will be an aluminum framed walkway with polyethylene tubs and grated decking with the same dimensions as the existing pier section. The existing soil type is Norma Sandy Loam. The work will be done during the in waterworkwindow opening between July 16th and December 31st of 2017. The estimated fair market value of the project is $20,000. The work is exemptfrom the requirement of a shoreline substantial development permit because it is repair of an existing structure in like kind. Arithorization from the Army Corps of Engineers and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is required for the project.
