2004 Shattuck Ave. S., Renton, WA

Dear Craig:
On June 9, 2017 I conducted a wetland and stream reconnaissance on the subject
property utilizing the methodology outlined in the May 2010 Regional Supplement to
the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Western Mountains, Valleys,
and Coast Region (Version 2.0). No wetlands or streams were identified on or
adjacent to the property during the field investigation and no wetlands or streams
have been mapped by the City of Renton in the vicinity of the site.
The western portion of the site is currently developed with a single-family residence.
The remainder of the property consisted primarily of maintained lawn that slopes
down from east to west. At the time of the reconnaissance the far eastern portion of
the site and small areas along the perimeter of the property were unmowed and
included Himalayan blackberry (Rubus armeniacus), a variety of grasses, Canada
thistle (Cirsium arvense), and Queen Anne’s lace (Daucus carota). Two larger fruit
trees were also observed in the eastern portion of the site. No hydrophytic plant
communities were observed on or adjacent to the property.
Borings taken throughout the site revealed high chroma, non-hydric soils and there
was no evidence of ponding or prolonged soil saturation anywhere in the vicinity of
the property.

Conclusion
No wetlands or streams were identified on or immediately adjacent the site. This
determination is based on a field investigation during which no hydrophytic plant
communities, hydric soils, or evidence of wetland hydrology or channels were
observed.
