Additionally, staff has determined the parking modification request lacks adequate information to formulate a recommendation on the matter to the City Hearing Examiner , therefore the application will be placed on hold as of the date of this letter and the May 22, 2018 public hearing is now postponed. The following information will need to be submitted before July 24, 2018 so that we may continue the review of the above subject application: 1. Please provide a written response to the enclosed public comment letter submitted by Nancy Osborn, dated April 24, 2018. City staff will forward your response to Ms. Osborn and include it with the application file. 2. Please have a qualified transportation professional prepare a site-specific plan by that clearly articulates the justification for the reduced number of parking spaces and provides adequate mitigation measures. The plan should include but not be limited to:  The number of dedicated staff and visitor spaces that would be made available and how resident parking would be allocated, such as a subscription based premium.  Provide parking capacity numbers and demand from other comparable assisted living/memory care facilities with similar surroundings and lack of available on street parking.  Potential for a joint parking agreement with the neighboring office property for the building’s off-peak use.  A dedicated chauffeuring program for residents.  Free or subsidized public transit and/or vanpool opportunities for staff.  An adopted procedure for the development that requires resident, staff, and visitor vehicles to be parked on-site or an approved joint use facility.  Contingency plan. What procedures will the facility put in place if parking begins to spill off-site? At this time, your project has been placed “on hold” pending receipt of the requested information. The public hearing scheduled for May 22, 2018 is now postponed and will be rescheduled upon submittal of requested items. Please contact me at (425) 430-6593 or mherrera@rentonwa.gov if you have any questions.
