Notes From Neighborhood Meeting
December 13, 2017
Per city guidelines, property owners within 300 feet of the proposed site of the new Weatherly Inn
Renton Seniors Housing facility (4500 Talbot Rd S) were invited to attend a community meeting to learn
about the project. The meeting was held from 7:00 – 8:00pm at the Larkspur Landing Hotel located at
1701 E Valley Rd, Renton WA 98055 on December 13, 2017. The goal of this effort is “to assist in
producing applications that are responsive to neighborhood concerns, and to reduce the likelihood of
delays and appeals” (Renton Municipal Code Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 090 A).

Summary of Comments Received:
• What is the setback on the access drive lane? (More specifically, the setback inside the access
easement)
• What type of survey was performed? Was it a landmark survey?
• What times of day and days of the week is construction permitted on the site?
• What is the target demographic for the facility?
• Clarification on the definitions of “Assisted Living” and “Memory Care”
• How many employees will staff the facility?
• Has a construction company already been signed to do the work?
• It may be beneficial to continue the parking lot landscaping through the easement on the
neighbor’s property to create more of a visual separation between the new facility and the
neighbor’s business parking lot.
