CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
2)New Business:
a) Hearing Request—Police Sergeant Promotional Exam. Requested by Police Officer Corey Jacobs*
Officer Corey Jacobs provided his argument of why he should have been provided an opportunity to participate
in the Assessment Center for the Sergeant Promotional exam. Commander Floyd Eldridge provided the
timeline of the testing process and the reasoning why Officer Corey Jacobs was not invited to participate in the
Assessment Center. Civil Service Secretary Brian Sandler provided his justification and reasoning to not invite
Officer Corey Jacobs to participate in the Assessment Center. The Commissioners discussed the appeal.
The Commission motioned to accept the appeal.
