Yes the Farmer’s Market is open Tuesday, July 3rd, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at
the Piazza Park in downtown Renton as we celebrate Red, White and Blue Day. Stock
up on all of your holiday‐celebration essentials you need for your family barbeque,
camping trip or just snacks for watching the fireworks!
This Wednesday, the City of Renton presents the 16th annual family friendly 4th of
July Celebration at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. Park gates will open at 7:00
a.m. The day’s events will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a co‐ed volleyball tournament and
will end at 10:00 p.m. with a spectacular 25‐minute fireworks display. There will be
free ActivityZones for kids featuring inflatables, games, and face painting in both the
north and south ends of the park from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment
on the shore of Lake Washington from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m.
To prepare for the fireworks display and to expedite individuals leaving the park at
the end of the evening, Lake Washington Boulevard North will be closed to traffic
from 9:30 p.m. until approximately 11:15 p.m.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at
http://rentonwa.gov/trafficimpacts. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact
projects, and road closures will be at the following locations:
Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. North 4th
Street will be reduced to two lanes between Garden Avenue North and Park
Avenue North due to the construction of curbs and gutters for the new Sartori
Elementary School. In addition, one to two eastbound lanes of North 3rd Street
between North Park and North Garden Avenues will be closed for construction
of curbs and gutters for Sartori Elementary. Questions may be directed to

Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The
intersection of East Valley Road and SW 19th Street will be closed for the I‐405
Direct Connector Project. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425‐

Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane
closure along northbound Talbot Road South between the northbound I‐405 on‐
ramp and the southbound I‐405 off‐ramp for the I‐405 Direct Connector Project.

closure along the Talbot Road South ramp to northbound I‐405 for the I‐405

Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect
intermittent lane closures and traffic delays along Talbot Road South (SR 515)
related to the I‐405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.
In addition, northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures
along SR 167 and I‐405 are also scheduled this week related to the project. The
information outlines specific dates and time of the closure. Questions may be

Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional
truck traffic and hauling will occur in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital
related to the construction of the new Medical Office Building. Questions may

Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single lane
closure on Lake Washington Boulevard between North 39th Street and North
40th Street due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to Brad

Tuesday, July 3rd through Friday, August 3rd, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The
southbound curb lane along Oakesdale Avenue SW between SW 16th Street and
SW 27th Street will be closed. Street maintenance crews will be conducting
asphalt repairs. Questions may be directed to Street Maintenance Supervisor

Monday, July 2nd through Monday, October 22nd. NE 31st Street will be closed
for the construction of the NE 31st Street Bridge Replacement Project.

Monday, July 16th through Tuesday, July 24th. The lower west entrance to
Renton City Hall from eastbound South Grady Way will be completely closed.
The eastbound curb lane along Grady Avenue South will also be closed between
8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. between Williams Avenue South and Renton City Hall.
Street maintenance crews will be removing and reinstalling damaged curb and
gutter located at the entrance to City Hall. City Hall may be accessed using the
entrance at Williams Avenue South (previously shared with Sam’s Club) or the
upper parking lot (lobby level) entrance located off of Benson Road South.

Monday, July 16th through Friday, August 24th. North 27th Place will be closed
for the construction of the North 27th Place Bridge Scour Repair Project.

Monday, July 2nd through December 2018. Road closure on South 14th Street
between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility construction.

Monday, July 2nd through October 2019. The Renton Hill Utility Replacement
Project is underway with anticipated completion in May 2019. Following
completion of the utility project, an overlay of the affected surface streets will be
conducted as part of the 2019 overlay project. The overlay is scheduled to be
completed prior to October 31, 2019.
