HomeMy WebLinkAboutPN_Building Permit Project_Narrative_B17006124_180711_v1Project Narrative Permit Number B17006124 2801 NE Sunset Blvd, Renton, WA On December 29, 2018, Mr. Mark McCullough with Clearcreek Contractors, Inc. submitted a demolition permit application with the City of Renton. On January 23, 2018, Ms. Angela Weihs and Adriann Alexander provided comments on the original submittal. As required by the permit revision form, the following address the City of Renton’s comments. • Comment 1: Per WAC 197-11-800(h), the installation or removal of impervious underground or above-ground tanks, having a total capacity of 10,000 gallons is exempt from environmental review. Based on your fire permit application, your proposed tank remove exceeds this threshold, therefore SEPA review is required. Please contact me at aweihs@rentonwa.gov for the submittal requirements list and more information. RESPONSE: On behalf of the property owner, Geosyntec has completed the necessary SEPA checklists and land use permits for the removal of the USTs. The required submittals are included in this deliverable. • Comment 2: FYI, PER WAC 173-360-385 At least thirty days before beginning either permanent closure or a change-in-service, owners and operators shall notify the Department of Ecology or delegated agency in writing of their intent to permanently close or make the change-in-service, unless such action is in response to corrective action. The site assessment required under WAC 173-360-390 shall be performed after notifying the department or delegated agency but before completion of the permanent closure or a change-in-service. RESPONSE: Clearcreek and Geosyntec have submitted the required paperwork and notifications to Ecology. All work will be performed in accordance with WAC regulations. • Remaining Comments: The remaining comments included the addition of the project number and permit number for the Site. This information has been included in the other submittals. For clarification, we wanted to make sure the City of Renton was aware of the contacts for this project. • Owner – Richard Piacentini – 206.448.1975, richardp@belmarprop.com • Consultant – Geosyntec Consultants, Joey Hickey – 971.271.5897, jhickey@geosyntec.com • UST Decommissioning Contractor – Clearcreek Contractors, Mark McCullough – 360.659.2459, markm@clearcreekcon.com
