PERMITS/REVIEW REQUESTED: Variance
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant, Northwest Sign & Design, is requesting an administrative sign
variance for Southport Wayfinding Signs. The project is located at 1133 Lake Washington Blvd N and includes one (1)
monument sign, three (3) Kiosks, five (5) directional signs, and (6) parking directional signs throughout the Southport
campus (Parcel nos. 082305-9216, -9055, -9075, and -9076). The project site is located in the Urban Center (UC) zone.
Two (2) copper beech trees would be removed to install the internally lit monument sign.

Comments on the above application must be submitted in writing to Clark H. Close, Senior Planner, CED – Planning
Division, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057, by 5:00 PM on September 7, 2018. If you have questions about
this proposal, or wish to be made a party of record and receive additional notification by mail, contact the Project
Manager. Anyone who submits written comments will automatically become a party of record and will be notified of any
decision on this project.
