OF APPLICATION A Master Application has been filed and accepted with the Department of Community & Economic Development (CED) – Planning Division of the City of Renton. The following briefly describes the application and the necessary Public Approvals. DATE OF NOTICE OF APPLICATION: August 24, 2018 PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: Southport Wayfinding Signs / LUA18-000563, VAR PROJECT LOCATION: 1133 Lake Washington Blvd N, Renton, WA 98056 APPLICANT/PROJECT CONTACT PERSON: Jeff Carl, Northwest Sign & Design / jeff@nwsigns.com / 17201 Beaton Rd SE, Monroe, WA 98272 LOCATION WHERE APPLICATION MAY BE REVIEWED: Applicant documents are available online through the City of Renton Document Center website. See also https://bit.ly/2PvMenW PERMITS/REVIEW REQUESTED: Variance PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant, Northwest Sign & Design, is requesting an administrative sign variance for Southport Wayfinding Signs. The project is located at 1133 Lake Washington Blvd N and includes one (1) monument sign, three (3) Kiosks, five (5) directional signs, and (6) parking directional signs throughout the Southport campus (Parcel nos. 082305-9216, -9055, -9075, and -9076). The project site is located in the Urban Center (UC) zone. Two (2) copper beech trees would be removed to install the internally lit monument sign. DATE OF APPLICATION: August 10, 2018 NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION: August 24, 2018 Comments on the above application must be submitted in writing to Clark H. Close, Senior Planner, CED – Planning Division, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057, by 5:00 PM on September 7, 2018. If you have questions about this proposal, or wish to be made a party of record and receive additional notification by mail, contact the Project Manager.
