CALL TO ORDER
Marge Richter called the me�ting to order at 4:30 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Cynthia Bums made a motion seconded by Michael O'Donin to appro�e the
February minutes as written. All were in favor, motion carried, February 2001
minutes appro�ed.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mr. Shepherd introduced RaIpY� E�ans, Park Board member, appointed to
complete Joan Moffatt's term. Jim also noted dates of AI Dieckman's retirement
party.
CQNSENT
1. Kidd Valley presented price increases to their current menu due to
increased labor costs and increase to the price of beef. These price
increases have already been implemented in their other restaurants.
Cynthia Burns mad� a motion seconded by Troy Wigestrand to approve
this increase. Afl were in favor, mation carried. Request appro�ed.
2. Michael O'Halloran, Munici�al Arts Committee, reques#ed that the
sculpture in Tonkin Park be maved to ha�e greater visibility to the traffic
on the stre�#. Currently it sits back in the park and those tra�eling canno#
see it from tne street. Staff suggested tabling the it�m until they can
research the request. S#aff will come back to the board with mora
information and a recommendation.

3. A. Robert Young submitted an application to plant a tree at Gene
Coulon MemoriaS Beach Park in memary of Mary Young, a 30-year
resident and empioyee of the Renton Housing Authority. C�rr�ntly
there is a waiting list af five.
B. Gary Weisser requested to purchase a bench and plaque in
memory of his wif� at Gene Couion Memorial Beach Park. Staff
recommends approval of #his request. Staff also recommends
approval of Mr. Young's request and he will be advised of the
waitlist. Cynthia Burns made a motion seconded by Tim Searing to
approve request 3A and 3B. All were in fa�or motion carried,
reques#s appror►ed.
NEW BUSINESS
Land Acquisition
Mr. Shepherd discussed land acquisition and open space property currently
owned by the ci#y in response to a question posed by Troy Wigestrand. Jim also
discussed ea�thqua�ce damage and the closure of the boat launch.
A time was agreed on for a park tour.
ADJOURNMENT
Cynthia Burns made a motion seconded by Tim Searing to adjourn the meeting.
All present were in favor, motion carried. The March 2001 meeting was
adjoumed :20 p.m.
