DESIGN AND INSTALLATION SPECIFICATIONS 2.1. THE POND SHALL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO ROUGHLY EQUAL VOLUME CELLS BY A PERMEABLE DIVIDER THAT WILL REDUCE TURBULENCE WHILE ALLOWING MOVEMENT OF WATER BETWEEN CELLS. THE DIVIDER SHALL BE AT LEAST ONE HALF OF THE HEIGHT OF THE RISER. WIRE - BACKE 2 -TO 3 FOOT HIGH, EXTRA STRENGTH FILTER FABRIC SUPPORTED BY TREATED 4"X4"S MAY BE USED AS A DIVIDER. ALTERNATIVELY, STAKED STRAW BALES WRAPPED WITH FILTER FABRIC MAY BE USED. 2.2. IF THE POND IS MORE THAN 6 FEET DEEP, A DIFFERENT MECHANISM MUST BE PROPOSED. 2.3. TO AID IN DETERMINING SEDIMENT DEPTH, ONE -FOOT INTERVALS SHALL BE PROMINENTLY MARKED ON THE RISER. 3. MAINTENANCE STANDARDS 3.1. SEDIMENT SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE POND WHEN IT REACHES 1 FOOT IN DEPTH. 3.2. ANY DAMAGES TO THE POND EMBANKMENTS OR SLOPES SHALL BE REPLACED. I y STD.
