Project Description: The Renton Housing Authority (RHA) is requesting National Environmental Policy Act
NEPA) review for the following two items: (1) The Houser Terrace Project Based Vouchers Veterans Affairs
Supportive Housing (PBVASH) program subsidies; and (2) the Sunset Area updated Notice of Intent to
Request Release of Funds (NOI-RROF). All funding and subsidies from the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development are required to undergo review pursuant to the NEPA. The City of Renton is the NEPA
Responsible Entity for RHA proposals.
The Houser Terrace item requests review and action for the issuance of subsidies to provide housing to
homeless veterans in the existing Houser Terrace senior housing development. The Sunset Area item
requests review and action for an updated NOI-RROF to utilize funds for the Sunset Court Apartment
proposal within the Sunset Terrace Redevelopment Master Plan site and within the boundaries of the
Sunset Area Community Planned Action Area and associated Final Environmental Impact Statement.
