HomeMy WebLinkAboutM_Emails_181016_v1Joe, May I impose upon you to contact Jeffrey Taylor, the Renton Assistant Planner at the phone number listed, below, to see what we need to do to move this along? Our Arborist, Jason Hayes, said he is willing to participate if a meeting is required with the City. If they require a letter from him, he will provide that, too. They should issue a permit since the tree does pose a hazard to the drive through below. This will require an arborist report and possibly to replant another tree. Perhaps he thinks the tree is on City property. Flatley [mailto:Tflatley@Rentonwa.gov] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2018 3:53 PM To: Hayes, Jason Subject: McDonalds Restaurant 73 Rainier Avenue S Hi Jason, I checked out the survey pins and the cottonwood at this subject location. The tree is growing on a slope considered a critical area. The property owner should contact the Planning Department at Renton City Hall to obtain a critical areas exemption and other possible requirements for this tree. They may need an arborist report regarding the trees condition to justify removal. The property owner should contact Jeffrey Taylor, Assistant Planner at 425-430-7246 for further information or to schedule an appointment in this regard.
