• Preparation work has been completed and the structural repairs for Coulon Beach
Park are commencing on October 1st. During October and November, we will see
the first phase of the deck repair on the north side of Ivar's Restaurant, repairs to
the North and South Waterwalks, work on the Trestle Bridge, and repair work
commencing on the Boat Launch area. The Restaurant Parking area, east of Kidd
Valley, will be partially closed off during the construction period for the contractor's
staging area. Repair activities will take a break for Clam Lights on November 30th
for the Grand Opening and the entire month of December.
Coffee with a Cop returns! The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down
barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas
and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the
officers in your neighborhood. The next Coffee with a Cop event will take place on
Wednesday, October 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Starbucks, 641 Rainier
Avenue South in Renton.

✓ Monday, October 1st through Saturday, October 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Additional truck hauling on Sunset Blvd NE and NE 7th Street for site

Intermittent lane closures at the 1200 block of Lake Washington Blvd (near

Intermittent lane closures on Lake Washington Blvd between North 38th Street
and North 40th Street due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to

Intermittent single lane closure at 6200 block of NE 4th Street due to utility

Intermittent single lane closure at 13833 156th Avenue SE due to utility

✓ Monday, October 1st through Friday, October 5th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. East
Valley Road will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of SW 19th Street for
the 1-405 Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will remain
open with flaggers directing traffic through the work site. Questions may be

Single lane closure along southbound Talbot Road South between the
northbound 1-405 on -ramp and the southbound 1-405 off -ramp for the 1-405
Direct Connector Project. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425-

✓ Monday, October 1st through Friday, October 5th, 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Talbot Road South will be FULLY CLOSED between the northbound 1-405 on -ramp
and the southbound 1-405 off -ramp for the 1-405 Direct Connector Project.
Signed detour routes will be provided for both the southbound and northbound
directions of Talbot Road South. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at

✓ Monday, October 1st through Friday, October 5th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Expect intermittent lane closures and traffic delays along Talbot Road South (SR
515) related to the 1-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.
In addition, northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures
along SR 167 and 1-405 are also scheduled this week related to the project.

closed for the construction of the North 27th Place Bridge Scour Repair Project.

✓ Thursday, October 4th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Intermittent road closures on
North 40th Street between Park Avenue North and Lake Washington Blvd North

✓ Monday, October 1st through Monday, October 22nd. NE 31st Street will be
closed for the construction of the N E 31st Street Bridge Replacement Project.

✓ Monday, October 1st through December 2018. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility
construction. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro at 425-207-6013.
✓ Monday, October 1st through approximately Friday, January 4th, 2019. Traffic
revisions have been implemented near Talbot Hill Elementary School along
Smithers Avenue South between South 21st Street and South 23rd Street to
provide access to the school for buses and parents dropping off and picking up
students. These revisions were needed due to the closure of the school's east
parking lot which had been used by the buses. This is a temporary revision that
will be in effect until repairs are made to the parking lot.
✓ Monday, October 1st through October 2019. The Renton Hill Utility
Replacement Project is underway with anticipated completion in May 2019.
Following completion of the utility project, an overlay of the affected surface
streets will be conducted as part of the 2019 overlay project. The overlay is
scheduled to be completed prior to October 31, 2019.
