• The second annual Cruz the Loop event will take place Saturday, August 18th from
5:00 to 9:00 p.m. It will be an evening of live music, food, classic cars, and the
vintage cruise around the Renton loop. Pre -registration is required as spots are
limited. Registration is now open, so get your spot early. For more information, visit
http://rentonwa.gov/cruz.
• Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at
http://rentonwa.gov/trafficimpacts. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact
projects, and road closures will be at the following locations:
✓ Tuesday, August 7th and Wednesday, August 8th, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Public
Works utility maintenance crews will be repairing a storm line and will need to
close 111th Avenue SE between SE 164th Avenue and SE 168th Avenue. A
detour will be in place. Local access will be permitted. Questions may be

Utility Maintenance/Special Projects Manager Richard Marshall at 425-272-7786.
✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Intermittent lane closures at the intersections surrounding Sartori Elementary
due to paving improvements. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro at
425-207-6013.
✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The
intersection of East Valley Road and SW 19th Street will be closed for the 1-405
Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will remain open with
flaggers directing traffic through the work site. Questions may be directed to

✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single
lane closure along northbound Talbot Road South between the northbound I-
405 on -ramp and the southbound 1-405 off -ramp for the 1-405 Direct Connector

✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 4:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Single
lane closure along the Talbot Road South ramp to northbound 1-405 for the 1-405
Direct Connector Project. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425-

✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Expect intermittent lane closures and traffic delays along Talbot Road South (SR
515) related to the 1-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.
In addition, northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures
along SR 167 and 1-405 are also scheduled this week related to the project. The
information outlines specific dates and times of the closure. Questions may be

Intermittent lane closures at the 1200 block of Lake Washington Blvd (near
North 40th Street) due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to

✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Intermittent lane closures on Lake Washington Blvd between North 38th Street
and North 40th Street due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to

✓ Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 24th. North 27th Place will be
closed for the construction of the North 27th Place Bridge Scour Repair Project.

✓ Monday, August 6th through Monday, October 22nd. NE 31st Street will be
closed for the construction of the N E 31st Street Bridge Replacement Project.

✓ Monday, August 6th through December 2018. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility
construction. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro at 425-207-6013.
✓ Monday, August 6th through October 2019. The Renton Hill Utility
Replacement Project is underway with anticipated completion in May 2019.
Following completion of the utility project, an overlay of the affected surface
streets will be conducted as part of the 2019 overlay project. The overlay is
scheduled to be completed prior to October 31, 2019.
