• Join farmers, vendors, volunteers, and city staff at the last Renton Farmers Market
of 2018 on Tuesday, September 25th from 3-7 p.m. at Piazza Park in downtown
Renton to say thanks for another great market season. In addition to all of the
fantastic flowers and farm fresh produce that thousands of people have enjoyed
these past 16 weeks, we have an abundance of activities planned for this last market
day such as live music, tips from Master Gardeners, a cooking demonstration, and

• Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at
http://rentonwa.gov/trafficimpacts. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact
projects, and road closures will be at the following locations:
✓ Tuesday, September 25th, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The eastbound curb lane of
South Grady Way between SR 167 (Rainier Avenue South) and Shattuck Avenue
South will be closed while street maintenance crews conduct asphalt repairs.

✓ Wednesday, September 26th through Thursday, September 27th, 7:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Expect intermittent northbound (downhill) lane closures along 140th
Way SE between SR 169 and SE 158th Street while street maintenance crews
conduct crack sealing. Questions may be directed to Street Maintenance
Supervisor John Kalmbach at 425-766-6183.
✓ Monday, September 24th through Friday, September 28th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. East Valley Road will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of SW 19th

Street for 1-405 Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will
remain open, with flaggers directing traffic through the work site. Questions

✓ Monday, September 24th through Friday, September 28th, 4:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. Single lane closure along southbound Talbot Road South between the
northbound 1-405 on -ramp and the southbound 1-405 off -ramp for the 1-405
Direct Connector Project. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425-
430-7291.
✓ Monday, September 24th through Friday, September 28th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30
p.m. Expect intermittent lane closures and traffic delays along Talbot Road
South (SR 515) related to the 1-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.
In addition, northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures
along SR 167 and 1-405 are also scheduled this week related to the project. The
information outlines specific dates and times of the closure. Questions may be

✓ Monday, September 24th through Sunday, September 30th. SW 19th Street
between 100 SW 19th Street and 204 SW 19th Street will be completely closed
for up to 10 calendar days to accommodate the construction of the Rolling Hills
Creek culvert tie-in to the existing 60-inch storm line as part of the 1-405/SR 167
Interchange Direct Connector project. Questions may be directed to Craig

✓ Monday, September 24th through Friday, October Sth. North 27th Place will be
closed for the construction of the North 27th Place Bridge Scour Repair Project.

✓ Monday, September 24th through Monday, October 22nd. NE 31st Street will
be closed for the construction of the NE 31st Street Bridge Replacement Project.

✓ Monday, September 24th through approximately Friday, January 4th, 2019.
Traffic revisions have been implemented near Talbot Hill Elementary School
along Smithers Avenue South between South 21st Street and South 23rd Street
to provide access to the school for buses and parents dropping off and picking up
students. These revisions were needed due to the closure of the school's east
parking lot which had been used by the buses. This is a temporary revision that
will be in effect until repairs are made to the parking lot.
✓ Monday, September 24th through October 2019. The Renton Hill Utility
Replacement Project is underway with anticipated completion in May 2019.
Following completion of the utility project, an overlay of the affected surface
streets will be conducted as part of the 2019 overlay project. The overlay is
scheduled to be completed prior to October 31, 2019.
