� ATZ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REPdTON, jaASHIr]GT�N
� APIPIEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON
CASCADIA ANNEXATION
WHEREAS under the provisions of RCW 35 . 13 , �30, as amended,
a petition in writing; requesting that certain territory eontiguou$
to the City of P.enton , as hereinafter more particularly described, be
annexed to the City of Renton, was duly presented and filed with the
City Clerk on or about SePtember 7 , 1978 , and
WHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said petition
for annexation to the City of Renton, the �etitioning owners duly
notified the City Council of their intention to commence such pro-
ceedings as provided by law, ann as more particularly snecified in
RCW 35 . 13. 125 and u�on public hearing thereon , i� having been deter-
mined and the petitioning owners havin� so agreed to assume the pre-
existin� bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as same pertains
to the territory petitioned to be annexed; and to accept that portion
of the City' s Comprehensive Plan as same pertains to the sub�ject
territory including the applicable zoning code relating thereto , and
LJHEREAS the Planning Department has duly examined and
verified ttie signatures on said petition for annexation and determined
the assessed valuation of all the proPerties , the same bein�; in
excess of 75% of the area to be annexed, in value , as provided by
law and said petitior. also setting forth the le�al description of
the property accordin� to government legal subdivision or plat and
the Plannin� Department of the City of Renton havinu duly considexed
and recomr�ended the annexing of said nroperty to the City of P,enton ;
and .
WHEREAS the City Council fixed October 23 , 1978 at $ : 00 P .M.
as the time and place for public hearing in the City Council Chambers ,
Citv Hall , Renton , �dashin�ton, upon said petition and notice thereof
having been duly given as Provided bv law; and (!� C'��''� ��

WHEREP.S pursuant to said nc�tice a public hearin� has been
held at. the time and place specified in the aforesaid notice and the
Council having duly considered all mstters in connection with said
;z petition and further determined that all legal requirements and

� procedures of the law applicable to the petition method for annexation
� as specified in RCW 35 . 13 . 130 et seq have been duly complied with, and
c� t�IEREAS a proper "ilotice of Intention" havin� been filed
with the King County Boundary Review Board as required bv law, and said
Boundary Review Board havin�, duly considered the matter , approved said
petition for annexation on November � , 1979 , which decision ��aas appealed
and subsequently dismissed.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY C�L'��CIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON ,
WASHINGTON , DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The aforesaid findings , recitals and determina-
tions are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects ; all
requirements of the law in regard to the annexation by getition method,
including the provisions of RCW 35 . 13 . 125 , 130, 140 , 150 and Chapter
1�9 , Session Laws of 1967 , having been duly complied with. It is
further determined that the above mentioned petition for annexation to
the r�ry of Renton of the property and territory hereinbelow described
be and the same is herebv approved and �ranted; the following described
property being contiguous to the Citv Limits of the City of Renton ,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton , and such
annexation to be effective on and after the apgroval , passage and
publication of this Ordinance ; and on and after said date said property
shall be and constitute a part of the Cit� of Ren.ton and shall he
subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force and
effect ; said property being descriheci as follows :

and the owners-petitio�ers of the ��f��rcclescribed property shall

� assume the pre-existin� bonded indc�bteclness of the City of Renton

Comprehensive Plan and Zonin� Code .
SECTION II : This Ordin��T1c-c� shall be effeetive upon its
passa�e , approval and five days afr_c�r its publication.
A certified copy of rhi � (�rciinance shall be filed with the
King County Council , State of Washin�,t.c�n , and as otherwise provided
by laca.
SECTION III : The ahc�vc� �Ic�,;cribed annexed property ,
contiguaus to Precinct 110 . 3;; _ �f rl�e Citv of Renton shall be and
constitute a part of Precinct �� . :t;t of said City.
