AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON ANNEXING CERTAItJ TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON 't.O liNION nVE. ANNEX[1'f LON , . . . O WHEREAS under the provisions of R . C .W. 35 . 13 . 130 , as amended , rn O � a petition in writing requesting that certain territory contiguous O � � to the City of Renton , as described below, be annexed to the City of Renton , was presented and filed with the City Clerk on or about September 23 , 1980 , and '�JHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said petition for annexation to the City of Renton , the petitioning owners notified the City Council of their intention to commence such proceedings as provided b,y law, and as more particularly specified in R . C .W . 35 . � 3 • 125 and upon public hearing thereon , it having been determined and the petitioning owners having agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as it �ertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed ; and to accept that portion of the City' � Comprehensive Plan as it pertains to the territory includin� the applicable zoning code relating thereto, and WHEREAS tt�e Planning De��artment has examined and verified the signatures on the petition !'��r annexations and determined the assessed valuation of all the properties , the same being in excess of seventy-five percent (75% ) of the area to be annexed , in value , as provided by law anc� the p�titian also se*ting forth the legal description of the property according to government legal subi�ivision or plat and the Planning Department of the City of Renton havin� considered and recommended the annexing of said property to the City of Renton ; and WHEREAS the City Council fixed February 9 , 1981 at 8: 00 p .m. as the time and place for public hearing in the City Council Chambers , City Hall , Renton , Washington , upon the petition and notice thereof having been given as provided by law, and � . . , • a . WHEREAS pursuant to said notice a public hearing has been held at the time and place specified in the notice and the Council having considered all matters in connection with the petition and ll') further determined that all legal requirements and procedures of d' . O� the law a licable to the ' PP petition method for annexation as 0 specified in R . C .W. 35. 13 . 130 et seq have been complied with , and � WfiEREAS a "Notice of Intention" having been filed with the King County Boundary Review Board as required by law, and the Boundary Review Board having duly considered the matter and approved said petition for annexation as per its letter dated July 29, 1981 . NOW THEREFORE , T��E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REPJTON , WASHINGTON , DO ORDAIPd AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I : The findings , recitals and determinations are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects ; all requirements of the law in regard to the annexation by petition method , includin� the provisions of R . C .W. 35. 13. 125, 130, 140, 150 and Chapter 189 , Session Laws of 1967 , have been complied with. It is further deterrnined that the petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory described below is hereby approved and granted ; the following described property being contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton , is hereby annexed to the City of Renton and such annexation to be effective on and after the approval , passage and publication of this Ordinance ; and on and after said date the property shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force and effect ; the property being described as follows : See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part here- of as if fully set forth herein . and the owners-petitioners of the property shall assume the pre- existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as prescribed in . � } . R. C .W. 35 . 13. 126 as it pertains to the property , and the property to be subject to the City' s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code . SECTION_II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage , approval and five days after its publication . t1� , . . . � A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the O � � King County Council , State of Washington , and as otherwise provided o "� -- by law. � SECTION III : The annexed property, contiguous to Precinct No . �, 22 of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of the Precinct No . 22 of said City.
