RE: PSE Job Number 101104721
TYPE OF WORK: Install Avian Protection on three existing wooden power poles to
prevent Osprey use of the poles on both sides of the Cedar River
Waterway.
LOCATION OF WORK: N 6TH ST & N Riverside Dr, Renton
SCOPE OF WORK:
This is a follow up permit for emergency work done on 4-04-17 with the permission of
Renton Inspector Tom Maine. At poles P01, P02 and P03, shown on the attached copy of
the worksketch, PSE installed four cable markers at the top of the poles, on top of the
existing wooden crossarms, to prevent local Ospreys from building nests on top of the
crossarms. This improved safety for Boeing’s flight operations and for the Ospreys. This
was urgent work as the Ospreys had already built a nest at the top of P01, located on
Boeing’s property, and PSE Servicemen removed the nest on 3-27-17. The approximate
time for work on each pole was 20 minutes using the attached traffic control plan.
Give me a call if there are any questions on the work done. Thank you for having
expedited this important safety work !
Sincerely,
Luke Neely
