I’ll add this note to the plans if that works for you. Since the confined space entry requirements would require a person to be harnessed with a cable and a tripod over the MH opening, a fall restraint system in the manhole is not needed. We will only require the ladder to be installed in the MH. No additional requirements are necessary due to the depth of the manhole. If all looks good to you I’ll have the plans ready this afternoon for printing. ~Thanks Ann Fowler Civil Engineer II | CED AFowler@Rentonwa.gov | Phone: (425) 430-7382 P Please consider the environment before printing this email ELECTRONIC PLAN SUBMITTAL AND REVIEW HAS BEGUN! These are all assuming Type 5 Laying Conditions. The maximum cover occurs at CB#17 with 25.2’ of cover. Per Table 4 the thickness of pipe required for 28’ of cover is 0.44”. This requires a Thickness Class of 52 (CL52). I went through the same process for the other pipe sizes and found that CL50 will work. I am still looking into the question about the ladders as the code sections listed below no longer exist. Please let me know if you concur with the sizing of the pipes. Thank you. Below is a table that I found that would indicate that a ductile iron pipe with a minimum wall thickness of 0.48-inches would be required and the pipe must be laid using Type 5 laying conditions. A 30-inch-Class 53 ductile iron pipe installed using laying conditions Type 5 would be required, but it is the engineers job to determine the adequacy of the pipe design. This detail should be replaced with the City’s Native Growth Protection Area signage per 4-3-050 and City approved sign details (attached). Details replaced with the detail you provided. · Sheet 94 has misspelled CRITICAL. Detail was replaced, therefore the spelling was corrected. · Sheet 95 includes Tract S in a wetland buffer for mitigation planting, which I believe is in error. The mitigation plantings in Tract S are outside of the wetland buffer. Before the creation of the Critical Area Tracts this areas was being restored due to the disturbance created with the plat improvements. Even though this area is outside of any wetland buffer we are still replanting due to the disturbances. The area of this disturbance is not counted for any kind of buffer mitigation, it is simply because there was disturbance in this open space tract. I’m not sure how best to proceed…if it’s possible to quickly correct these items and replace these specific sheets or what is most efficient. I’ve copied Ann to weigh in on this. I’m on vacation next week so hoping to get this wrapped up tomorrow. J Thanks! Mona Mona Davis SENIOR PLANNER City of Renton | Community & Economic Development 1055 S.
