OF APPLICATION A Master Application has been filed and accepted with the Department of Community & Economic Development (CED) – Planning Division of the City of Renton. The following briefly describes the application and the necessary Public Approvals. No action is required of notice recipients. See also https://bit.ly/2VXNvqX PERMITS/REVIEW REQUESTED: Administrative Variance PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting approval of an Administrative Variance from the provisions of the Renton Municipal Code (RMC) regulating side yard setbacks for attached accessory structures in the Residential - 8 dwelling unit per acre (R-8) zone (RMC 4-2-110A). The subject property is located at 854 Dayton Ave NE (APN 7227500840). The purpose of the variance is to allow for the applicant to construct a new 235 square foot carport on the subject property. The lot is 5,463 square feet in area. The R-8 zone requires a side yard setback of 5 feet. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow the proposed structure to encroach 4 feet 4 inches into the side yard setback at the north property line. Vehicular access to the property will be taken off of Dayton Ave NE, via an existing driveway and curb cut. The site is not mapped with critical areas.
