Dear Ms. Nair:
We reviewed the proposed project for compliance with the provisions of the American
Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) LRFD Bridge
Design Specifications as amended and adopted by the state of Washington and the city of
Renton. The permit applicant has responded successfully to our comments.
This review is limited to the Keystone and Stoneterra site retaining walls located in the
right-of-ways along Benson Drive and Benson Road where they border the project site. All
other site retaining walls located in and around the project site are not included in this
review.
Individual revised sheets were submitted in response to our review and supersede the
original drawing sets. We are providing copies of these drawings with our review stamp.
Corrections and comments made during the review process do not relieve the permit
applicant or the designers from compliance with code requirements, conditions of approval,
and permit requirements; nor are the designers relieved of responsibility for a complete
design in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington. This review is for general
compliance with the AASHTO Specification as it relates to the project.
