HomeMy WebLinkAboutL_ERC_Publication_RR_190219.rtf.pdfNOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC HEARING RENTON, WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT The Environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination of NonSignificance Mitigated (DNSM) for the following project under the authority of the Renton municipal code. Upper Balch Pit LUA18000703 Location: 301 Monroe Ave N.E. Description: 230,000 CY of fill would be imported into an existing gravel pit over 10 years under a Special Fill and Grade permit. The 14.4 ac site is zoned R10. The Upper Balch Pit has been used as a reclamation since 1982. Prior to 1982, the site was used as a permitted sand and gravel pit for 20 years. Appeals of the DNSM must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on March 08, 2019. Appeals must be filed in writing together with the required fee with: Hearing Examiner c/o City Clerk, City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 48110 and more information may be obtained from the Renton City Clerk's Office, 4254306510. A Public Hearing will be held by the Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on March 19, 2019 at 11:00 am to consider the submitted application. If the DNSM is appealed, the appeal will be heard as part of this public hearing. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing. Publication Date: February 22, 2019
