ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC HEARING
RENTON, WASHINGTON

The Environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination of Non Significance Mitigated (DNS M) for the following project under the authority of the Renton municipal code.
Upper Balch Pit
LUA18 000703
Location: 301 Monroe Ave N.E. Description: 230,000 CY of fill would be imported into an existing gravel pit over 10 years under a Special Fill and Grade permit. The 14.4 ac site is zoned
R 10. The Upper Balch Pit has been used as a reclamation since 1982. Prior to 1982, the site was used as a permitted sand and gravel pit for 20 years.
Appeals of the DNS M must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on March 08, 2019. Appeals must be filed in writing together with the required fee with: Hearing Examiner c/o City
Clerk, City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4 8 110 and more information may be obtained from the Renton City
Clerk's Office, 425 430 6510.
A Public Hearing will be held by the Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on March 19, 2019 at 11:00 am to consider the submitted application. If the DNS M is appealed,
the appeal will be heard as part of this public hearing. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
