King County Metro is talking with communities along the future I Line route to learn
about their needs and priorities for the new RapidRide service and other mobility
needs. Take their online survey before March 29 at https://publicinput.com/3757.
The Renton Downtown Partnership and participating downtown retailers are excited
to present Ladies’ Night on Saturday, March 23 from 3-9 p.m., including additional
after-hours cocktail specials until 10 p.m. There will be a little something for
everyone, so bring your friends for a fun evening of shopping, dining, and cocktails in
Downtown Renton. There will be specials and promotions at over 30 downtown
retailers, restaurants, and bars. Purchase tickets at

Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic.
Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at
the following locations:
Monday, March 18, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The south curb lane of North 3rd
Street will be closed at Wells Avenue North while maintenance crews conduct
asphalt repairs.
Monday, March 18, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. SW Victoria Street will be closed
between Hardie Avenue SW and Rainier Avenue South while maintenance crews
conduct asphalt repairs.
Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Intermittent northbound lane closure or lane shift at the 1200 block of Lake
Washington Blvd due to roadway construction. Questions may be directed to

northbound lane closure on 156th Avenue SE near 13010 156th Avenue SE due

Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility

Intermittent single lane closures within the neighborhood bordered by 116th
Avenue SE, 125th Avenue SE, SE 164th Street, and SE 168th Street due to water
main replacement work performed by Soos Creek Water and Sewer District.

lane closure on East Valley Road between SW 19th Street and Lind Avenue SW
for the I-405 Direct Connector Project. One lane of East Valley Road will remain
open, with flaggers directing traffic through the work site. Questions may be

Intermittent lane closures at South 132nd Street for storm water utility work.

closure on the eastbound lane of SW 43rd Street from west City of Renton limits
to Oakesdale Avenue SW due to utility construction. Questions may be directed

Wednesday, March 20 through Friday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Double
lane closure in the westbound lanes of Puget Drive SE at the 1500 block due to
utility construction. Informational signs will be placed on Puget Drive SE on

Monday, March 18 through May 31. Pavement restoration related to the
Renton Hill Utility Replacement Project will begin this week. The project is
scheduled to be completed in May, but pavement restoration is dependent on
weather conditions. Residents will receive notification via a door hangar 48
hours prior to work beginning on their respective streets. For a proposed
