Whereas, Loleto Tuivai lived in the United States for more than 20 years, but her heart always
belonged to her native Tonga; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai was first offered a job with the Department of Corrections in 2004; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai worked as a Community Corrections Officer in the Renton Field Office
since 2010; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai served the community of Renton and kept the community safe by
supervising violent offenders; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai was particularly adept in Interstate Case Management; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai became a United States citizen in July 2013 and was featured in the
Communique Paper; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai received her 10 year state service pin in 2014; and
Whereas, we will miss the friendship, laughter, teamwork, excellent writing, and organizational
skills of Loleto Tuivai; and
Whereas, Loleto Tuivai's contribution and dedication made the Department of Corrections a
better place;
Wow, therefore, I, Denis Law, Mayor of the City of Renton, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2018, to be
LoCeto EaCemaka Tuivai Day
in the City of Renton, and I encourage all citizens to join me in this special observance.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Renton to be
affixed this 3rd day of May, 2018.
