T09082 Todays activities listed for Icon Materials
Paving of the final grade lift of asphalt at the bulb out area was observed from stations 31+55 to 28+00. The lift
was 0.30 feet deep. Icon Materials placed 224 tons of asphalt. Asphalt was placed in hopper by truck and
compacted by a Caterpillar CB-434D vibratory roller. Areas in which the hopper was too wide asphalt was
placed directly by truck and spread by shovel.
Please see "Temporary HMA Inspection and Testing Checklist."
T09082 Other activites
A proctor obtained from the Defoor site stockpile off of the conveyor belt was tested today. Final results will be
available 9/17/2009.
A sample of CSBC was obtained from Kangley Sand and Gravel for proctor T606, gradation, fracture count,
