Conduit containing fiberoptics were placed at the bottom of the trench and CDF was placed by truck chute on top of the conduit filling the trench approx. 6" below grade. The CDF exceeded the minimum depth of 24" over the conduit. The trench excavated today started from station 1217+00 and ended at station 1218+60. The trench runs parallel to I-405 northbound. Previously two inch diameter conduit piping containing wiring for temporary lighting was placed. The temporary lighting was not placed today as the need for it ended at station 1216+90. There are also (2) 4 inch conduit pipings. One is for future use while the other contains interduct fiberoptic and twp (twisted wire pair). There was a third 4 inch conduit piping placed today that began at yesterday station 1215+30 and ended today at station 1218+50. This third conduit piping contains loop wires. See attached Stoneway tickets detailing cement truck CDF loads. Time also includes sample splitting and preparation of CSCB sample obtained from Kangley Sand and Gravel. Approx. 500 lbs. of sample was split in accordance to AASHTO T248 into portions for testing. Time also includes data entry for proctor testing on Defoor site stockpile material as well as clean-up and equipment maintenance. TImothy I.
