Division #294 Spokane WA 99218 1 | Page DATE: 02/27/2019 Hans Korve / DMP RE: Wilson Park 2 Dear Mr. Korve, I went by the Wilson Park 2 site to review the tree inventory and be sure that the information was still consistent with the original information. As the information was collected in 2012 (7-years ago) a few trees are now larger and meet the standards of a significant tree and will be retained. A few trees are hazardous and no longer viable, per city code they are removed from the retention calculations (see work sheet). 1) 13 additional cottonwood and 2 maple saplings in the proposed public street are now 6” or greater in DBH 2) 3 maple saplings in the eastern portion of the site (lots 6, 7 zoned R-1) are now 6” or greater in DBH. 3) 4 maples in tract A are now greater than 6” DBH (to be retained). 4) Trees 101, 102, 104, 106, 116, 124, 138, and 179 are dead or have advanced decay. They are non-viable hazard trees. 5) Upon review of the plans I found that 3 of the trees will seriously conflict with the approved site plan. These 3 trees (T129, T120, T123 on attached plan) will need to be removed so the site can be graded to engineering standards and safely build the road and the required fire/emergency turnaround. The tree retention will still remain above the city’s minimum requirements. All 9 (12-3) of the trees originally proposed for retention are healthy viable trees in good or better condition. I have attached a revised tree retention form and added the approx. locations of the new trees on an attached site map. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
