Talbot Substation CLR Construction Mitigation Description
• Proposed construction dates (begin and end dates);
o August 26, 2019 to December 31, 2019
• Hours and days of operation;
o Monday – Friday 7am-5pm
• Proposed hauling/transportation routes;
o I-405 to Benson Road S, to South Puget Drive, to Talbot Hill Substation existing
driveway (see haul route map)
• Measures to be implemented to minimize dust, traffic and transportation impacts, erosion,
mud, noise, and other noxious characteristics;
o Dust will be managed with water trucks as needed, and/or additional crushed rock
for gravel driveway to minimize dust dispersion.

o The only traffic impacts will be associated with trucks moving intermittently in and
out of the substation existing driveway entrance onto S. Puget Drive. Traffic control
measures will be used as needed to manage ingress/egress of intermittent truck
traffic and will be limited to off-peak traffic hours as much as possible.
o Noise will be limited to project-site sounds associated with typical construction
activities such as truck engine noise, truck back-up indicators, and excavation
equipment.
• Any special hours proposed for construction or hauling (i.e. weekends, late nights); and
o Occasional weekend work may need to occur to accommodate substation
equipment operations relating to the project. These will be limited to Saturday
daytime hours, and are anticipated to be minimal.
