THE FINAL CIP WALL DESIGN WILL BE PROVIDED FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY THE CITY AS A SEPARATE STRUCTURAL WALL PERMIT PACKAGE. 2.THE FINAL CIP WALL DESIGN SHALL CONSIDER ACTUAL IN -SITU SOIL BEARING CAPACITY, SURCHARGE AND HYRDOSTATIC LOADING, AND POTENTIAL BUOYANCY CONDITIONS AS PROVIDED BY THE PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. 3. AN IMPERMEABLE SOIL LINER SHALL BE PROVIDED AT THE POND BOTTOM AND INTERIOR SIDE SLOPES TO THE EXTENTS SHOWN ON THIS PLAN. THIS IMPERMEABLE SOIL MATERIALS, WHICH MAY INCLUDE NATIVE OR AMENDED NATIVE ONSITE SOILS, SHALL BE AS SPECIFIED BY THE PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. 4. POND BERM EMBANKMENTS MUST BE CONSTRUCTED ON NATIVE OR CONSOLIDATED SOIL (OR ADEQUATELY COMPACTED AND STABLE FILL SOILS ANALYZED BY A GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER) FREE OF LOOSE SURFACE SOIL MATERIALS ROOTS AND OTHER ORGANIC DEBRIS. 5. POND BERM EMBANKMENTS GREATER THAN 4' IN HEIGHT MUST BE CONSTRUCTED BY EXCAVATED A KEY EQUAL TO 50% OF THE BERM EMBANKMENT CROSS -SECTIONAL HEIGHT AND WIDTH UNLESS SPECIALLY RECOMMENDED OTHERWISE BY A GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. 6. THE BERM EMBANKMENT SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF SOIL PLACED IN 6-INCH LIFTS COMPACTED TO AT LEAST 95% OF MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY, WITHIN 2 PERCENTAGE POINTS OF THE OPTIMUM MOISTURE CONTENT, MODIFIED PROCTOR METHOD ASTM D 1557. DENSITY TESTS SHALL BE PERFORMED FOR EACH LIFT TO CONFORM COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SPECIFICATION. THE SOIL USED FOR CONSTRUCTION SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SOIL CHARACTERISTICS: A MINIMUM OF 20% SILT AND CLAY, A MAXIMUM OF 60% SAND, A MAXIMUM OF 60% SILT AND CLAY, NORMAL GRAVEL AND COBBLE CON TEN T 7.
