Take a tour and enjoy some food and fun. • Volunteer with the City of Renton and help to beautify our parks for everyone to enjoy. Our Fall Green and Clean event will be Saturday, October 13th from 8:45 to 11:00 a.m. Register for this or other volunteer opportunities at rentonwa.gov. • Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/trafficimpacts. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at the following locations: ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Intermittent road closure between Lake Washington Blvd and Park Avenue North due to roadway construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 206-282-2373. ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional truck traffic entering and leaving the road at the 17800 block of 108th Avenue SE. Questions may be directed to Tom Main at 206-999-1833. ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. East Valley Road will be closed at the intersection of SW 19th Street for the 1-405 Direct Connector Project. Two lanes on East Valley Road will remain open, with flaggers directing traffic through the work site. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425-430-7291. ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The eastside curb lane along northbound Maple Valley Hwy (SR 169) will be closed between 2349 Maple Valley Hwy and 1912 Maple Valley Hwy while maintenance crews conduct ditch cleaning. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425- 430-7291. ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Talbot Road South will be FULLY CLOSED between the northbound 1-405 on -ramp and the southbound 1-405 off -ramp for the 1-405 Direct Connector Project. Ed Prince, Council President Members of Renton City Council Page 3 of 3 October 8, 2018 ✓ Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 12th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect intermittent lane closures and traffic delays along Talbot Road South (SR 515) related to the 1-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project. In addition, northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures along SR 167 and 1-405 are also scheduled this week related to the project. NE 31st Street will be closed for the construction of the N E 31st Street Bridge Replacement Project. Questions may be directed to Derek Akesson at 425-430-7337 or via email at dakesson@rentonwa.gov. Road closure on South 14th Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility construction. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro at 425-207-6013. ✓ Monday, October 8th through approximately Friday, January 4th, 2019. Traffic revisions have been implemented near Talbot Hill Elementary School along Smithers Avenue South between South 21st Street and South 23rd Street to provide access to the school for buses and parents dropping off and picking up students. These revisions were needed due to the closure of the school's east parking lot which had been used by the buses. This is a temporary revision that will be in effect until repairs are made to the parking lot. ✓ Monday, October 8th through October 2019. The Renton Hill Utility Replacement Project is underway with anticipated completion in May 2019. Following completion of the utility project, an overlay of the affected surface streets will be conducted as part of the 2019 overlay project. The overlay is scheduled to be completed prior to October 31, 2019.
