Kiddie Research Daycare Center: Construction Mitigation Description
Construction of the proposed project is estimated to begin September 2019 with completion estimated to
be August 2020.
Construction will occur during legal working hours as prescribed by City Code. Any construction required
outside of permitted hours will be coordinated with the City for approval prior to commencement of
construction outside those hours.
Hauling and transportation routes will be coordinated during the preconstruction meeting. As both NE
Sunset Blvd and NE 12th Street are arterial roads, trucks will likely not be isolated to specific routes of
travel between the project site and their destination(s).
Construction Best Management Practices (BMP) will be utilized per City standards to minimize dust,
erosion, and sediment-laden runoff. To minimize construction noise, construction equipment will be
equipped with muffler devices and idling time will be encouraged to be kept to a minimum. Construction
equipment traffic impacts will occur, unless approved otherwise, during legal working hours as prescribed
by City Code.
Traffic will be impacted along NE Sunset Blvd and along NE 12th Street for frontage improvements and
utility installation. A traffic control plan will be prepared prior to the preconstruction meeting for routing
of traffic around the impacted areas required for installation of these improvements.
