HomeMy WebLinkAboutERC_Publication_Talbot Hill Substation Current Limiting Reactors_190618NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC HEARING RENTON, WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT The Environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) for the following project under the authority of the Renton municipal code. Talbot Hill Substation Current Limiting Reactors LUA19-000097 Location: 2400 S Puget Drive. Puget Sound Energy is requesting a Hearing Examiner Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan Review, and a Special Fence Permit for proposed Talbot Hill Substation improvements. Improvements include the installation of six Current Limiting Reactors (CLRs) within a new fenced enclosure, a new (190' long by 85' wide) gravel pad to support the CLRs and the enclosure, the installation of a new three-pole 230 kV H-frame, and a new gravel access road. Appeals of the DNS must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on July 05, 2019. Appeals must be filed in writing together with the required fee with: Hearing Examiner c/o City Clerk, City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4-8-110 and more information may be obtained from the Renton City Clerk's Office, 425-430-6510. A Public Hearing will be held by the Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on July 09, 2019 at 11:00 am to consider the submitted application. If the DNS is appealed, the appeal will be heard as part of this public hearing. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing. Publication Date: June 21, 2019
