Under building permit B19000450 we have proposed to renovate the existing kitchen in the Merrill
Gardens at Renton Centre building at 104 Burnett Ave S. This proposed temporary use permit would
allow us to set up a temporary kitchen facility in the parking lot directly adjacent to the south of Merrill
Gardens at Renton Centre. The temporary kitchen facilities consist of a 8’-6” by 53’-0” cooking unit, a 8’-
6” by 20’-0” dishwashing unit and a 8’-0” by 20’-0” walk in cold storage unit. This proposed temporary
kitchen is essential to maintaining the functionality of the Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre facility while
we are remodeling the facility’s kitchen.
Timeframe of temporary use:
We anticipate bringing the temporary kitchens on site on July 8th, 2019 and removing them by
December 6th, 2019. With the hope that we will be able to complete the kitchen remodel sooner and
subsequently remove the temporary kitchens from the site prior to December 6th, 2019.
Refuse:
The temporary kitchen facility will be used to prepare food and provide for food storage and
dishwashing services. Refuse will be handled through the existing trash room in the main building.
Easements:
MGP 47, LLC has secured easements with the land owner (Black River Ventures, LLC) to use their
property for the purpose of this temporary use. The original easement (Instrument Number:
201812210001209) and the First Amendment have been included in this submittal.
