Request for Qualifications
Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System Improvements Project
Including Survey, Geotechnical, and Civil Design
Submittal Date: August 22, 2019
The City of Renton is soliciting statement of qualifications (SOQs) from engineering consulting firms for
engineering and planning services for the Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System Improvements Project.The
work includes planning, analysis, public outreach, survey, geotechnical, and civil engineering design
services to further develop alternatives for the replacement or major rehabilitation of the Lakeline
system.
If your firm wishes to submit qualifications, please refer to the complete text and requirements
contained in the "Request for Qualifications" document available at the City of Renton website,
http://rentonwa.gov/bids/or by contacting Dave Christensen, City of Renton Wastewater Utility, at 425-
430-7212, or by email at dchristensen@rentonwa.gov.
City of Renton staff will evaluate the consultant's statement of qualifications based on the project
approach, each firm's technical skills and resources, project team's technical skills, history of
performance, and knowledge.After the statement of qualifications have been evaluated, the highest
ranked firms may be interviewed. Final selection will be made based upon both the written SOQs and, if
applicable, the interviews.
Women and Minority Business Enterprises(WMBE) are encouraged to submit proposals.
Deadline
Submit one (1) electronic copy of the written statement of qualifications on either CD or jump drive in
PDF format and five (5) hardcopies mailed or delivered to Renton City Hall at the following address: City
of Renton, City Clerk's Office—7th Floor,Attn: RFQ Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System
Improvements/Dave Christensen, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA, 98057. No faxes or emails will be
accepted.
The deadline for submittals is 4:00 p.m.on August 22, 2019. If mailed, the submittal must be
postmarked no later than August 22, 2019.
