HomeMy WebLinkAboutM_fire_flow_Woo_Developments_LLC_190719_v1Novembeir 30, 2015 Dear Corey Thomas and Ann Fowler: We have spent some time investigating the existing conditions of fireflow related to this project property. We went to the site and, with a 100 foot tape we measured the distances from the existing 4 fire hydrants to the property. The measurements were taken using 90 degree angles can all corners to insure that the distances would reflect the way a vehicle would go from the hydrants to the property. I have attached a plan showing the location of each hydrant and Following are the measurements: 1. Hydrant #1 is 161 feet from the property. Our understanding is the fireflow available from this hydrant is 4000 gpm. 2. Hydrant #2 is on the property. Our understanding is that the fireflow available from this hydrant is 2500 gpm. 3. Hydrant #3 is 110 feet from the property. Our understanding is that the fierflow available from this hydrant is 2500 gpm. 4. Hydrant #4 is 265 feet from the property. Our understanding is that the fireflow available from this hydrant is 4.000 gpm. Howard MCOmber spoke with Ann Fowler this morning and after the measurements were -describred to her, she requested that we prepare a drawing showing this information. We had assumed that since there is substantially less than 150 feet from both Jefferson Avenue NE and from Kirkland Avenue NE from the streets to the back of the .buildings that we .would be in compliance with the City's requirements without fire trucks having to enter the driveway. Based on these measurements and information, what would be the required fireflow and construction requirements for each of the two buildings? Thank you.
