Narrative for Permit Application

This proposal is for the project of removing a landmark tree located at 3420 NE 7 th St, Renton,
Washington, 98056. This tree requires a routine Vegetation Management Permit from the City
of Renton before proceeding with removal of the tree.
The Landmark Tree is located on the South East corner of the Single Family Residential
Property. There is currently a single family residence on the property. The total estimated cost
of removing the tree is $2,400 + tax. This cost will be taken care of by the owners of the
property at 3420 NE 7t St, Renton, Washington, 98056.
A certified arborist, Jason Hayes, Certified Arborist # PN-1392A, of Davey inspected the tree and
found that the tree is a Douglas Fir that is approximately 110 feet tall. At some point the tree
was topped at 55 ft. The tree now has two large co-dominant tops that measure 16 inches and
17 inches in diameter. The inspection was done on 3/18/19. It was found that the topping of
the tree some years ago has jeopardized the structure of the tree. Along with this there is
insufficient room for the tree’s root system to grow and adequately support the tree. The tree
is a danger. Removal of the tree was recommended.
There is only a single tree that needs to be removed upon the acquisition of this permit.
The work for this tree removal project will be scheduled based on the date the permit for
removal is acquired. All tree removal work would be done during normal weekday hours.
