Right of Way Acquisition Qualifications
Gregg Zimmerman
Public Works -Administrator
The Public Works Department Administrator Is authorized by City Code to execute the acquisition of
real property for right of way for City Projects that have Council budget approval. Mr. Zimmerman
performs that duty In accordance with the LAG Manual, the Uniform Act, and City Policy and
oversees the actions of the City of Renton Transportation Systems Division as well as the City's Utility
Systems Division. Mr. Zimmerman is familiar with City Policy and the requirements of managing
property acquired with FHWA funds.
Jim Seitz
Transportation Systems Director
Mr. Seitz oversees the actions of the Transportation Systems Division of the Public Works
Department. Relative to right of way acquisition, he insures conformance with the LAG manual, the
Uniform Act, and City Policy. He has received and continues LAG Manual and Right of Way
Acquisition training. Mr. Seitz has had oversight responsibility for numerous federally-funded
projects.
Robert Hanson
Transportation Design Manager
Mr. Hanson is the engineering CA for the City of Renton and manages a staff of up to seven Project
Managers. He has received and continues LAG Manual and Right of Way Acquisition training. He
reviews the work of the Project Managers and the Property Acquisition Consultants. He advises the
Public Works Administrator; the Deputy Administrator, Transportation Department; and the Property
Manager In matters of right of way acquisition. He works closely with the City Attorney to manage
right of way acquisition in accordance with the Uniform Act and City Policy. Mr. Hanson has received
specialized training in Right of Way Acquisition and has had oversight responsibility for the acquisition
of approximately 40 parcels in FHWA-funded projects.
Michelle Faltaous, Derek Akesson, Keith Woolley, Hebe Bernardo
Project Managers
All have received and continue LAG Manual and Right of Way Acquisition training. They have direct
project oversight of the Property Acquisition Consultants, and are responsible that the work of the
Property Acquisition Consultants complies with the LAG Manual, the Uniform Act, and City Policy. All
have managed FHWA-funded projects involving Right of Way acquisition.
