73 - "Trench Excavation and Backfill for Water Mains,'
5. Prior to acceptance of the system, the installation shall he subjected
to a hydrostatic pressure test of 300 9#1 APPROVED BY —6—
and all leaks or imperfections developing under PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
said pressure shall be remedied by Contractor before final acceptance
of the system. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment
and shall perform all work connected with the tests and conduct said
test in the presence of the Utilities Department Inspector, Insofar
as is practical, tests shall be made with pipe joints, fittings and
valves exposed for inspection.
6_ All water mains shall be installed with 36 inches of cover.
